IPR protection in CIIE
中国国际进口博览会非常重视知识产权保护工作,将知识产权保护作为打造国际一流博览会的重要举措。中国国际进口博览会上将设立知识产权保护投诉机构,并提供相关资讯与调处服务,保护各国参展商和相关知识产权权利人的合法权益,为境外参展商在中国获得知识产权保护提供指引,积极营造良好的参展环境。
CIIE attaches high attention to IPR protection, regarding it as a key measure in building an international first-class fair. An IPR protection and complaint unit set up in CIIE shall provide consultation and mediation services, aiming to protect the legitimate rights and interests of exhibitors and right holders around the globe and provide foreign exhibitors guidance on securing IPR protection in China. All efforts help create a sound exhibition environment.

IPR Protection and Commercial Dispute Resolution Service Center of CIIE
中国国际进口博览会高度重视知识产权保护,展会期间设立“知识产权保护与商事纠纷处理服务中心”,提供知识产权服务。
China International Import Expo (CIIE) attaches great importance to the protection of intellectual property rights (IPR). During the exhibition, the “IPR Protection and Commercial Dispute Resolution Service Center” (the Service Center) will be established to provide IPR-related services.
1.服务内容
Services
(1)咨询服务。邀请知识产权和商事法律专家,提供知识产权法律法规、申请,对外贸易法律法规、商事法律风险防范等方面的咨询。
Counselling Service. Experts specialized in IPR and commercial laws will be invited to offer counselling on laws and regulations, and applications of IPR, laws and regulations of foreign trade, and the prevention of commercial legal risks.
(2)办理《展出证明》。对于首次展出的发明创造、首次使用的商标,依参展方申请,出具展出证明,便于参展方在中国申请相关知识产权时享有优先权。
Handling the Certificate of Exhibition. For the inventions exhibited and the trademarks used for the first time, the Service Center will issue the certificate of exhibition according to the application of exhibitors to facilitate them having priority in applying for relevant IPR in China.
(3)收取知识产权申请材料。中国版权保护中心派员入驻,对符合条件的参展商,可以在展会现场提交著作权登记的申请材料。
Receiving IPRs application materials. Copyright Protection Center of China will be stationed and qualified exhibitors can submit the application materials for copyright registration on site.

参展商知识产权保护权利与义务
The rights and obligations for exhibitions
1.展前阶段
Before the Exhibition
(1)签订参展合同,约定知识产权保护条款,承诺参展的展品、展品包装、展位设计、宣传品以及展位的其他展示部位等参展项目(以下统称“参展项目”),不侵犯他人知识产权。
The exhibition contract that has been agreed upon and signed must stipulate clauses protecting intellectual property, guaranteeing that the exhibits, exhibit packaging, booth design, publicity materials and other display areas of the booth (hereinafter collectively referred to as “exhibition project”) do not infringe on the intellectual property rights (IPR) of others.
(2)审查其参展项目的知识产权情况,防止参展项目侵犯他人知识产权。需要就参展项目在中国申请知识产权的,依照中国相关法律法规申请。
The IPR of exhibition projects must be reviewed to prevent exhibitors from infringing on the IPR of others. If any exhibitor needs to apply for IPR in China for exhibition projects, relevant Chinese laws and regulations shall be applied.
(3)了解中国国际进口博览会知识产权保护服务,以及涉嫌侵犯知识产权投诉及处理的相关规定,合理制定参展项目的知识产权保护方案。
Have an understanding of the IPR protection services of China International Import Expo (CIIE), as well as the relevant provisions on measures for suspected infringement of IPR, and reasonably formulate the IPR protection scheme for exhibition projects.
2.展会期间
During the Exhibition
(1)携带相关知识产权权属证书及证明材料,以便有效防范和快速处理可能出现的知识产权纠纷,更好地保护参展商的合法权益。
Provide the relevant IPR certificates and supporting materials to effectively prevent and quickly deal with possible IPR disputes and better protect the legitimate rights and interests of exhibitors.
(2)遇到知识产权纠纷的,依照中国国际进口博览会关于涉嫌侵犯知识产权投诉及处理相关规定,配合知识产权保护投诉机构的调处等工作。
TIn case of IPR disputes, exhibitors shall cooperate with the Intellectual Property Protection & Commercial Dispute Resolution Service Center to resolve issues in accordance with the relevant provisions of Measures for Suspected Infringement of IPRs at the CIIE.
(3)参展商确实侵犯他人知识产权的,应依照中国相关法律法规和规章之规定承担相应的法律责任。
If the exhibitor infringes on the IPR of others, the exhibitor shall bear the corresponding legal responsibilities in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations in China.
进口博览会关于办理《展出证明》的规定
Pocedure of Issuing the Certificate of Exhibition
为便于参展单位在中国国际进口博览会(以下称“博览会”)上首次展出的发明创造在中国申请专利时享有6个月的不丧失新颖性的宽限期,或展出的商品(或服务)首次使用的商标在中国申请商标注册时可享有优先权,在参展单位提出书面申请后,经博览会承办方(以下称“展会方”)审查符合条件的,出具证明相关展品/商标在博览会上展出的《展出证明》。
In order to facilitate the exhibitors of the China International Import Expo (the CIIE) in a grace period of six months without loss of primary exposure when applying for patents in China for newly exhibited inventions, and to ensure priority in applying for trademark registration in China for trademarks on exhibited goods (or services) used for the first time, the organizer of the CIIE (hereafter referred to as the Organizer), after reviewing the written applications submitted by exhibitors, will issue the Certificate of Exhibition for relevant eligible exhibits and trademarks exhibited at the CIIE.
